New Regulations on Health Risk Appraisal (HRA) Application
[12/7/2009] - Due to the new federal regulations for the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) Local 47's Health Risk Appraisal (HRA) has been modified to the new regulations. Access to the Blue Cross website and to the online Health Risk Appraisal application, are  accessible once again. Anyone who has already completed the HRA should have already received an updated HRA application from GemGroup.  The updated application needs to be executed and returned to GemGroup.  The new deadline has been extended to December 31, 2009 due to the revision. You may also contact GemGroup @ 800-242-8923 or the local union office and request a revised HRA application. We apologize for any inconvenience this will cause you however, it is the result of the new federal regulations which just became effective. more

New Look for Local Union 47
[8/12/2009] - Thanks to Dave Chiotti member of Local Union 47 and instructor of the JATC, our union office building has our FIRST SIGN since the formation of Plumbers and Steamfitters Monaca Office in 1968.  Dave's accomplishment is an impressive piece of art.  (It even lights up at night!!!)  His skill of a certified welder and dedication acknowledges that Local Union 47 has produced some of the finest in our trade.  Thanks again Dave, for a job well done. link
