On May 1, 2008 the working dues will decrease to 3% of your gross wages for all wage classifications for members of Local Union #47.

- As you are aware on October 20, 2004 we put into effect the Assessment Surcharge when the local's net assets falls below $825,000. The surcharge will remain in effect until May 1st of the year immediately following the issuance of year-end audit report in which the local's net assets exceed $1,100,000.
- At the year-end of 2007 our net assets were $1,543,213.
- Therefore, effective May 1, 2008 your working dues will e decreased to 3% of your gross wages.
